Carolina Quesquen, a young photographer, has devoted many years to creating timeless portraits of families, children, and couples. Before turning her passion into a career, she started out by documenting the world, the nature around her, and creating art through light-paintings. She was born in Peru, raised in Germany, and now lives in Houston, Texas. After high school she moved to California and graduated with a double concentration from Brooks Institute of Photography and since then has been featured in an art gallery for her portraiture, published in a book for photojournalism, and featured in 002 Houston Magazine several months in a row.
“I always joke about how photography is my life-I absolutely love it, consume it, breath it–and if I could literally eat it, I probably would! I’ve traveled all my life and if there’s anything I love more than photography, it’s my family. Through them I realize that love is really what it’s all about, in every aspect, and in every kind of relationship. It’s a true blessing to be able to focus my life to helping women discover their unique individuality through photographs. And to add weddings to the mix, well, that’s another story. Let’s just say that there’s something about this beautiful time when a new family is formed, together with laughter, tears, and cake…just delicious. It’s a privilege to be the chosen to capture such an important day of a couple’s life!”
